I also camped here once as a kid with my cousins - I still remember biking with them to the beach to watch the sunset. Great place to make some good memories with friends and family, and definitely a gem of a place to have in the Midwest.

Fun place to visit and camp and hike up the big sand dune hill. Beach is really nice. Love visiting there!!!! I call it an ocean.. Lake Michigan is huge. :-) And it makes me feel like I'm back at home in California at the Ocean. No salt water though. When I miss home, I love to go to Warren Dunes!!

I love this place! The white sand beaches are gorgeous - it really feels like you could be in Florida. You can get the best lake views (and a good workout) from climbing the dunes. I just recently tried hiking the Mt. Randall Trail Loop here with some friends and really enjoyed the mix of wooded areas and walking along the beach.

It is absolutely beautiful here. and we will definitely be making the 9 hour drive back again sometime to see it more. I would love to check out the trails the the dunes too.

It was only $9 to get our car in

The waves were huge, and it was windy and kind of cool out, but the water was so warm, and it was so clear. My wife and I spent the entire time just playing in the waves. Her parents loved playing in the waves too and we took turns watching the kids play in the sand.

A wide, clean beach near Chicago, not too long, empty, and you can not see a smoke chimney from factories in Indiana, and for the elderly is even one easy to overcome.Required fee because it is State Park but not much...

This is such a fun beach to visit on a summer day. The beach is very sandy, and there are sandbars out farther. There is a dune across the parking lot for climbing. It is quite a hike, but doable for many people of all age groups. From the top of the dune, there is an amazing view of lake Michigan with the blue and green water areas separated on a calm day. With the shallow waters, windy days at the beach are fun since the waves are powerful but not too high.

This place was incredible. We only had a few hours and spent the entire time at the beach. It was the most fun my family had had in years. The Kids (2 & 4) couldn't get enough of the endless sand. The waves were huge that day so they couldn't go in the water but they didn't care. They loved playing in the sand.
